BCM has been retained on a number of occasions to perform outsourced hedge fund research where we are able to identify beneficial synergies that can be utilized across the firm. These projects generally consist of hedge fund analysis on a single manager and/or a broad portfolio. Along with standard due diligence, BCM has also provided expert witness testimony for law firms as it pertains to the hedge fund industry, as well as sub-advisory work for hedge fund portfolios.

For BCM to accept an engagement for outsourced research projects, it will typically require that we have confidence in the potential for a larger relationship to develop. All of the projects we have accepted to date are intended to be recurring and long term in nature although we recognize the need in the marketplace for near-term advice and solutions for current or potential hedge fund investments.
